FAQ

How do I package and ship my items for grading to IGS?

A. IGS recommends that trading cards be placed into a hard plastic sleeve. Please DO NOT send cards in hard acrylic screw-down holders. Penny sleeves should also be used in conjunction with the hard plastic sleeve. IGS will not be responsible for any damages incurred by the use of any other holders.

B. Package cards in an appropriate size box if possible. Any card submitted in an envelope should have plastic or cardboard protection on each side and taped securely. Cushion the contents appropriately to prevent shifting and therefore, possible damage during shipment. (Shipping supplies can be obtained from the post office or any shipping/packing service or office supply store that stocks these supplies.)

C. IGS recommends that casino chips be placed in a 2" x 2" flip not taped or stapled.

D. Package chips in an appropriate size box if possible. Cushion the contents appropriately to prevent shifting and therefore, possible damage during shipment. (Shipping supplies can be obtained from the post office or any shipping/packing service or office supply store that stocks these supplies.)

Does IGS guarantee turnaround times?

Answer: No. However, in most cases your turnaround time is shorter versus longer.

Turnaround times are estimates and depend upon current volume. Although we strive for the quickest possible turnaround time, it is the policy of IGS to dedicate the necessary time to make sure that your cards are accurately graded.

Does IGS buy or sell Collectibles?

Answer: No.

Does IGS keep a record of the items graded?

Answer: NO at this time IGS does not keep records of Items that we have graded

How do I determine the Declared Value of my items for return insurance purposes?

Answer: The owners declared value should be based on your determination of the condition of the items you are sending to IGS. IGS recommends that you use the current price guides for your collectibles.

Important Note: Be sure to value your items at what you feel is the full Replacement Cost.

How can I confirm that IGS has received my items?

Answer: It is recommended that you send your items via registered mail. You may also request a return receipt. By doing this, a IGS representative will need to sign for your package on the date received. You will get a return receipt with a dated signature confirming the delivery of your package to IGS.

Does IGS accept bulk submissions?

Answer: Yes... and IGS offers lightning fast turnarounds for bulk submissions!

A bulk submission is considered to be 100 or more items. Call IGS at 866-222-4390 for an estimated turnaround time on your bulk submission.

Are the grading fees applicable for EACH item?

Answer: Yes. The grading fee is per item, even if you submit several of the same. For example, ten (10) Fred McGriff cards are submitted along with five (5) Sammy Sosa cards. The total would be IGS's current grading fee per card multiplied by 15 cards (i.e. 10 McGriff's and 5 Sosa's). (Shipping, insurance, and any applicable tax should also be added to determine the total fee.)

Can I send multiple submission forms in the same shipment to IGS?

Answer: Yes. For your convenience, IGS allows more space per line on our submission form than any other grading service. Therefore, on each submission form, only 10 lines are allocated.

We ask that you write the total number of pages (submission forms) included with the submittal as a check-point upon receipt. A space is provided for this on the Submission form ("Page ___ of ___ pages").

You may pay by credit card, or submit one check or money order for the entire shipment. Please be careful calculating the amount due to IGS. Accurate and full payment must be received with your cards in order for grading services to be rendered. Full payment includes total grading fee, shipping fee, insurance coverage amount, and sales tax if applicable.

Can I physically drop off my cards at IGS's office?

Answer: Our policy is no drop-offs at our facility. Due to security reasons
